The World Cup Added Nearly a Billion Views to Five Channels We Track. Today It Ends.
Jul 19, 2026 · ShinyPull Team
The World Cup started on June 10. The final is tonight. In between, five channels we track daily, all broadcasters and federations, not individual creators, added a combined number big enough to make most platforms jealous.
Where the views actually came from
ESPN's TikTok alone accounts for almost two thirds of the total. That's the single biggest line item in the whole tournament, bigger than the other four channels combined. FIFA's TikTok added the smallest raw view count of the five, but only because it started the tournament as by far the smallest account. Its follower count tells a completely different story.
And Fox Sports isn't even in that number
We didn't add Fox Sports' YouTube channel to daily tracking until July 11, a month after kickoff, specifically because of how much World Cup content they were putting out. In the eight days we've had them on the books, they've added 70,000 subscribers and 129.3 million views on their own. If we'd been tracking them since June 10 like the others, today's total would look meaningfully bigger.
Tonight's final is the last scheduled event of the tournament, and based on the pattern we've seen at every big moment so far, it's going to add one more real spike to all five of these before the numbers finally settle down tomorrow. We'll take one more look once the trophy's been handed out.
