The obvious name at the top, and the one nobody's heard of
Kai Cenat's Twitch following grew by 1,050,261 in July, more than any other channel we track. He ended the month at 21.4 million followers, still Twitch's largest channel by a wide margin. That much was predictable.
The second name on the list is not. Suburbbaby started July with 103,698 followers. By July 31st, that number was 867,393.
The full July leaderboard
Ranked by raw follower growth, not percentage. A big established channel adding a few hundred thousand followers and a small channel doubling in size can both land in the same range, so we're showing both the count and the rate.
What the two ends of the list have in common
Kai Cenat spent much of July live for extended stretches, including a marathon Minecraft Hardcore run with iShowSpeed that ran well into August. Long, high-visibility broadcasts tend to produce steady follower growth on an already massive channel, and the raw number reflects that. Even a small percentage move on 20 million followers is enormous in absolute terms.
Suburbbaby's story is the opposite shape. A channel that size doesn't grow by 736% through incremental momentum alone. Something specific put her in front of an audience many times larger than the one she started the month with, and she's not the only one on this list who saw that kind of jump. YonnaJay more than doubled. HoneyMad and 2xRaKai both grew by roughly a quarter.
Ten channels each added at least 400,000 Twitch followers in a single month. Two of them, Kai Cenat and ibai, did it from an audience already in the tens of millions. The rest did it from a fraction of that size.
