Doggie Verified Grief After 436K Attempts. His Twitch Added 3,996 Followers in a Day

Oct 5, 2026 · ShinyPull Data Team

For two years, Doggie died in the same level of Geometry Dash, live, in front of a chat that kept coming back to watch. Early on the night of October 4 (US time) he stopped dying. "GRIEF VERIFIED // 2+ YEARS, 436K ATTEMPTS. A NEW ERA OF GEOMETRY DASH," he wrote on X. By the next morning his Twitch count had added 3,996 followers in a single day, 7.7 times his daily average for the month before.

What he finished

Grief is a level built to be the hardest ever cleared in Geometry Dash, a prequel to Slaughterhouse, the level Doggie himself verified back in 2021, according to Dexerto. The same report put numbers on the difficulty: 652 major inputs, some with a window of six frames at 240 FPS, which leaves a margin of one fortieth of a second.

Spilled reported that the clear took 396 streams and roughly 440,000 attempts, and that he died at 97% twice before getting through. It put the live audience at completion between 40,000 and 50,000 viewers. The Global Demonlist account on X said Grief then took the number one spot on the list.

What the follower curve did

In the month before the clear, Doggie added 15,134 followers, about 522 a day, and nothing about that run suggested an ending. Then the day he finished, the count rose by 3,996. The day before, it had risen by 229.

That was the second-biggest day in our four-month record of his channel. Only June 20 was larger, a 28,624-follower leap that we could not tie to a single event. The next day added 709.

The curve also catches his two most-covered failures. Dexerto's report of the 97% crash is dated June 14, and that day he added 1,898 followers. Spilled's second 97% is dated September 21, and that day he added 1,800. Dying at 97% was worth about 1,800 followers. Finishing was worth 3,996.

The long middle

Zoom out and the finale looks less like a spike and more like the end of a staircase. Our record of Doggie's channel starts on June 4 at 133,738 followers and ends this morning at 224,673, a gain of 90,935. Take out the June 20 leap and he still added 62,311 over 123 days, about 507 a day, through months when the level looked unbeatable.

Spilled said he sat at 80% for roughly 11 months. That is the stretch a normal channel loses people in. His kept a steady pace instead, which is the less glamorous reason the finish landed on a bigger room than it would have a year earlier.

Why a grind is a growth plan

A streamer who fails in public is running a serial. Every stream is an episode, every 97% is a cliffhanger, and the audience that shows up for the cliffhangers is exactly the audience that shows up for the finale. The curve says so: 522 new followers a day for a month with no payoff in sight, and then a payoff day roughly double the size of the best near-miss.

It also says something about what the finish is worth. Doggie called it "a new era of Geometry Dash," and the Demonlist agreed that something moved. For his channel, the more interesting question is quieter. The one thing his audience was waiting for is now done, and the next stream has to give them a reason to keep the habit.

He has 224,673 followers to find that out with, and 396 streams of proof that he will show up for the long version.
